Chateau Faugeres, Grand Cru Classe' 2011:
Founded in 1823 and purchased in 2005 by wine merchant Silvio Denz, Chateau Faugeres is an intriguing blend of the traditional and the modern. The stunning, high-tech winery---sometimes referred to as "the cathedral of wine"---is built in the 18th century style. Composed of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is made with scrupulous respect for the legacy of the vineyard site. The 2011 vintage, rated 91 points by Robert Parker, displays floral notes, flavors of red plum, and licorice echoes on the finish.

Chateau La Fleur Cardinale, Grand Cru Classe' 2011:
Owned since 2001 by Florence and Dominique Decoster, Chateau La Fleur Cardinale is one of St. Emilion's perennial overachievers. The wines display a deep, dense-coloured hue, while on the nose there are powerful ripe fruit aromas mingling with floral notes. Feminine in style, the wines have a seductive, rich mouth-feel, underpinned by elegant, silky tannins. The finish is long and harmonious, promising very long aging potential in bottle.

The Great Bordeaux Sale!!
Palm Beachers have a love affair with Bordeaux,  it has been the most popular red wine on the island for many decades. Among all the great wines of Bordeaux, none are as unique as those of St. Emilion. Comprised mostly of Merlot and Cabernet Franc rather than Cabernet Sauvignon, they truly embody "the steel fist in the velvet glove."

As the year comes to a close, I'm delighted to offer you these gems at very attractive prices. I hope you get as much pleasure from drinking them as I did in selecting them for you.
