Château Raymond-Lafon Sauternes, 2014

Exuding the inviting aroma of mango and balanced nuances of apricot jam, honey, and hints of citrus, this Sauternes combines the lusciousness of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. From a tiny property neighboring Yquem, this dessert wine is gloriously sweet, almost syrupy, with richness and complexity that evoke the iconic splendor of Yquem. Classified as a non-classified cru, Raymond Lafon mirrors the quality of a premier grand cru, standing out with very low yields and earning its place among the greatest in the appellation.
