Château Talbot, named after British soldier Connetable Talbot, is a 4th Growth Saint-Julien estate owned by the Cordier family since 1917. Renovated since 2007, its Caillou Blanc wine, from vines planted in the 1930s, is a blend of 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Sémillon. Fermented and aged in oak barrels with regular bâttonage for 8 months, it is lively and aromatic, with lemon verbena, lemon thyme, white peach, and stone fruit flavors. Well-balanced with a waxy texture and a spicy, ginger-tinged finish.
